NY Times — Many Potential Successors if Rangel Retires — 3-3-2009

Mr. Rangel faces a single declared primary opponent this year: Vince Morgan, a banker who once worked for him. On Wednesday, Mr. Morgan commended Mr. Rangel for giving up his chairmanship and said it was “time to turn the page” by electing a new congressman.  “The people I talk to on the streets are numbed to this — they are tired of it,” he said of Mr. Rangel’s ethics troubles.
